Ivan Martynenko and Tony Chen finished with 11/14 in the Blitz Championship to share the 1st and 2nd place prize money, giving them $90 each.  Ivan then beat Tony in a playoff. 

Class prizes were as follows:  

U1800 tie--Janice Chen, Shahram Nazarinia, Frank Rockwood and Alex Hall.

U1600 tie--David Buck, Kevin Keyes, Colin Chen

U1400 tie--Benjamin Tesch, Michael Thompson

U1200/UNR Steven Papalia with 7.5/14

Josh Smith, a former state champion, was leading through the 5th round but finished 1/2 point out of the money at 10.5.  Vanel Sanchez, finishing with 10 and Stephen Gordon with 9.5 also did well. Congradulations to all the winners and participants.  It was a fun tournament.
